King Richards Faire

There was plenty of parking available for this

When walking towards the entrance of King Richards Faire, you are led to believe you have been taken back in time, a time when royal knights, the King and Queen, magic and wenches were around. I was greeted at the entrance while standing in line by a character who was very energetic and friendly. He had a toy dragon on his shoulder which he interacted with to entertain the crowds as they waited in line for their tickets.

Everywhere you turn you will be greeted by unique individuals either playing a part in the event or simply there as guest. Even the guests become a part of the show! Amazing to experience in person.

Then you have your actual shows which are scheduled and run every 30 minutes or so to entertain the guests. Each entertainer shows off their individual skills or work as a team. At the end of each show the entertainers will pass around a "hat" to collect donations from the crowd which is actually how they make a living traveling with the fair and keeping us all entertained. Maybe bring a few dollars to help them all out?

All in all, an amazing way to spend a day or even a weekend! If you enjoy being taken away to a fantasy world with books and movies, then this is something I guarantee you will enjoy!
